They are also the holdover members from the previous village council, who insisted on raising the Shores property tax limit from 12 to 20 mils in the new city charter. Don’t believe them when they tell you they are “shocked” at the wages some Shores employees are paid. The prior council is who voted to approve these salaries in the first place.
